Company History

April 1956: Established in Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo to
manufacture and sell electronic materials
January 1958: Started manufacturing and selling high-purity fine precious metal powders and metal oxide
December 1959: Started manufacturing and selling precious metal
and metal conductive pastes
May 1962: Head office and factory moved to Toyotama-Kita in Nerima-ku, Tokyo
April 1967: Established plant in Suehiro-cho, Ohme-shi, Tokyo.
April 1974: Head office moved to Shinjuku Sumitomo Building in Nishi Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
November 1983: Head office moved to Shinjuku Mitsui Building in Nishi Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
January 1987: Established plant in Fujinoki-machi, Tosu-shi, Saga
October 1993: Established US affiliate: SHOEI ELECTRONIC MATERIALS. INC.
December 1995: Established Singapore affiliate SHOEI CHEMICAL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.
August 1998: ISO14001 certification obtained by Tosu Plant
March 2003: ISO9001 certification obtained by Tosu Plant
June 2004: New research building at Ohme Plant completed
March 2006: ISO9001 certification obtained by Ohme Plant
May 2007: Acquired CANADIAN ELECTRONIC POWDERS CORPORATION (Canada).
May 2011: ISO/TS 16949 certification obtained by Tosu Plant
May 2012: Established Canada affiliate SHOEI CANADA CORPORATION
April 2013: SHOEI CANADA CORPORATION merged with CANADIAN ELECTRONIC POWDERS CORPORATION
January 2024: Established plant in Higashi, Itoshima-shi, Fukuoka
