1. Philosophy
SHOEI
recognizes that the preservation of the global environment is a highly
important issue for all mankind, and while striving to improve the
state of natural environment conservation, is proactively fulfilling
its social responsibility as a corporation by developing technologies
that reduce environmental loads and participating in production activities
in harmony with the environment.

2. Policy

In addition to the development, manufacture and
sale of conductive materials, insulating materials and resistive
materials for electronic components and devices, SHOEI also
promotes energy saving, resource saving and resource recycling,
as well as working to reduce environmental loads through waste
reduction. |
| b) |
SHOEI is committed to improving the environment
and preventing pollution throughout every aspect of its product
development, manufacture and sales activities in order to preserve
the global environment. |
| c) |
SHOEI establishes its own management standards
in accordance with the regulations and agreements concerning
the environment, and is working to further improve environmental
preservation. |
| d) |
SHOEI practices green procurement in line with
this policy. |
| e) |
SHOEI sets its own environmental objectives and
targets in order to implement this policy, and revises these
regularly. |
| f) |
This policy is implemented and maintained according
to SHOEI’s Environmental Management System, and so SHOEI managerial
staff encourage all persons working for or on behalf of the
organization to communicate the policy. |
| g) |
SHOEI managerial staff revise this policy regularly
to ensure that it is always effectively maintained as a corporate
activities policy. |
| h) |
This policy is released to the public as requested
from outside the company and as otherwise required. |
