April 1956: The Company was established in Tsukiji, Chuo-ku, Tokyo with the purpose of manufacturing and selling electronic materials.

January 1958: Started manufacturing and selling high-purity fine precious metal powders and metal oxide.
December 1959: Started manufacturing and selling precious metal and metal conductive pastes.
May 1962: Moved the head office and factory to Toyotama-Kita in Nerima-ku, Tokyo.
April 1967: Established an Plant in Suehiro-cho, Ohme-shi, Tokyo.
April 1974: Moved the head office to Shinjuku Sumitomo Building in Nishi Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
November 1983: Moved the head office to Shinjuku Mitsui Building in Nishi Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
January 1987: Established an Plant in Fujinoki-machi, Tosu-shi, Saga.
October 1993: Established SHOEI ELECTRONIC MATERIALS, INC. (in USA)
December 1995: Established SHOEI CHEMICAL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. (in Singapore)
August 1998: Tosu Plant obtained ISO14001 certification.
March 2003: Tosu Plant obtained ISO9001 certification.
June 2004: Completed the new research building at the Ohme Plant.
October 2004: Ohme Plant obtained ISO14001 certification.
March 2006: Ohme Plant obtained ISO9001 certification.
May 2007: Acquired CANADIAN ELECTRONIC POWDERS CORPORATION(CANADA).
